Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best known for the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the 1980s, she began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab which she played with veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance on screen was Dil with Aamir. In the beginning, as a child growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she began to learn how to dance. As a young woman when she began to act, she struggled as many films she made were not successful. Then, she discovered success with Indian filmmaking and rose to the very top. She decided to take a break from her career following her marriage before returning to the entertainment industry. More recently she played an important part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. She was also honored with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. The award was also given to her by the social sector.
