Arike Ogunbowale
Arike is an American professional player who is a member of the Dallas Wings Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings drafted her with the fifth pick of the year 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was born Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2, 1997 to Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are two of her brothers. Her parents spoilt her the most due to her being the youngest. Gregory Ogunbowale's father was a soldier in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale is a highly engaged family. She has a mother Yolanda and brother Dare both played softball while at DePaul. Her aunt played the sport of volleyball in UAPB. Her cousin Endia is also a volleyball player in Tennessee State. Ogunbowale appeared in the honor roll at her school for three years straight. In high school, she has received numerous awards and has was recognized as a celebrity. Arike did her graduation from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated within her own hometown. Her studies were accompanied by three years of play in varsity. Ogunbowale was able to lead her team to several successes thanks to her impressive skills. In her high-school career she's scored started 73 times and has 1,477 total points. In addition, she has 739 rebound. Ogunbowale was awarded gold medals at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship, and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship. In July of 2014 she was picked to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale after her NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale, a relative newcomer to basketball, has established herself as a star. She is certain to remain consistent in her career. Arike Ogunbowale is said to be worth $5 million according to an unnamed source. Ogunbowale is a star in many different activities such as basketball. She also plays soccer and has had three State Cup championships for the Lake County United Soccer Club and one State cup in the FC Milwaukee Soccer Club. She also played the piano for seven years.
