Arike Ogunbowale

Arike is an American professional player who is a member of the Dallas Wings Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings drafted her with the fifth pick of the year 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was born Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2, 1997 to Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are two of her brothers. Her parents spoilt her the most due to her being the youngest. Gregory Ogunbowale's father was a soldier in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale was awarded gold medals at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship, and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship. In July of 2014 she was picked to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season.
